The Heights of Hope 5K and 1.5 Mile Run/Walk is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 at 6:30pm (5K) and 7:15pm (1.5 Mile). Race fee is $25 which includes a pig roast dinner after the race. T-shirts may be available but are not guaranteed for registrants after August 1. Same day registration is available is available until 6:00pm.
All proceeds from the 5K support Heights of Hope, and specifically our Adventure League program which is a summer health and fitness program designed to engage youth and adults in our community in healthy physical activity! The 5K is their final event of the summer!
PACKET PICKUP: Wednesday, August 15 from 4-7pm, Thursday from 12-1pm and from 5:00-6:00pm. All packet pick up is at Calvary on 8th (995 E. 8th Street).
Race Day Information
The 5K will start at 6:30pm at Calvary on 8th (995 E. 8th St.) Parking is available at Holland Heights CRC (836 E. 8th Street) or on non-race route streets. Holland Heights CRC is about 4 blocks away, so please plan time to park and arrive at the race start. (If you have a need that requires closer parking, there is VERY LIMITED parking in the small lot across from Calvary on Cypress).
Race results will be posted shortly after the 5K finishes and will be up on our website (www.heightsofhope.com) by midnight. We will have an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the 1.5 Mile (around 7:30) for the following categories: First Overall Male and Female Finisher, Top 3 Male & Female in each age group- 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and up, first 3 strollers (male and female), the fastest team and the most team participants. Fastest team is scored like a cross country meet with the first five finishers of a team crossing the finish line receiving points.
Please stay after the race for awards, door prizes, music and most importantly….the pig roast! Show your bib to receive a free sandwich, ice cream/blueberries, and iced coffee.
